Bedrijvenkring Leusden (BKL) en ZPoint Leusden organiseren voor alle ondernemers in Leusden op donderdag 15 maart aanstaande een interactieve bijeenkomst over de aankomende nieuwe privacywet Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG).
Met ingang van 25 mei 2018 is de Algemene verordening gegevensbescherming (AVG) in de gehele EU van toepassing. Deze verordening vervangt de huidige privacywet, de Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens (Wbp). Alle bedrijven en organisaties die werken met persoonsgegevens zullen zich moeten voorbereiden op deze AVG.
De AVG bouwt inhoudelijk voort op de Wbp, maar intensiveert privacyrechten voor betrokkenen en breidt deze uit. Ook moeten bedrijven en organisaties voortaan kunnen verantwoorden hoe ze met persoonsgegevens omgaan. De Europese privacytoezichthouders (in Nederland is dat de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) krijgen de mogelijkheid stevige boetes op te leggen bij overtredingen. Redenen genoeg om je als Leusdense ondernemer in ieder geval goed voor te laten lichten en scherpe vragen te stellen tijdens de bijeenkomst.
De volgende zaken komen onder andere aan bod:
- Is privacy nou echt zo belangrijk?
- Met welke persoonsgegevens moet je voorzichtig omgaan?
- Wanneer màg je überhaupt iets doen met andermans gegevens?
- Hoe doe je dat netjes?
- Wat mogen je klanten van je vragen?
- Hoe laat je zien dat je het netjes doet?
- Wat moet ik nú doen om 25 mei klaar te kunnen zijn?
De diverse onderwerpen worden belicht door Marc Woltering, CIPP/E, beleidsadviseur privacy en beveiliging bij BKWI. Daarnaast is Marc zelfstandig trainer en adviseur op het gebied van privacy bij AVG en werkt in die hoedanigheid ook voor ZPoint-lid Audit orde.
